Depending on counter volume, a typical franchise outlet booking 20 Speed Posts, 15 Registered Letters, 10 e-Money Orders, and selling ₹20,000 in stamps/stationery earns approximately ₹8,000 to ₹25,000+ per month as supplemental profit with zero added rent or utility cost for existing shopkeepers.
A franchise outlet can book domestic & international Speed Posts, Registered Letters, Parcels, issue e-Money Orders, sell postage stamps, envelopes, and revenue stamps, and collect retail utility bills. However, savings bank account deposits, PPF, and physical mail delivery remain exclusively departmental.
The filled application form along with a copy of 10th marksheet, PAN, Aadhaar, address proof, and ₹5,000 NSC must be submitted to the Divisional Head / Senior Superintendent of Post Offices (SSPO / SPO) having administrative jurisdiction over your area.
